Forms
With forms, you can easily create and manage contact forms, surveys, and other forms for your church website. You can customize the forms and view the responses via the admin panel. We have added two collections for this purpose: Forms and Form Responses. In this article, you will learn how to create and manage forms.
Creating your first form
Through the admin panel, you can easily create your first form. Click on Forms in the menu and then on Create new. You can now create and configure the fields of the form. You can choose from different field types, such as text fields, dropdowns, and date fields. You can also specify whether a field is required or not.
Add fields to your form
Then you can start drafting the questions for your form. You can add, remove, and edit questions. You can also change the order of the questions. The changes are saved automatically, and when you are done, you can publish the form. It is also useful to use the preview mode so you can see how the form will look to the visitors of your website.
At this moment, you can add the following field types:
- Text field
- Number field
- Date field
You can also place rich text between the fields, for example to provide an explanation.
Form settings
Under the Settings tab, you can adjust the settings of the form. Among other things:
- The title of the submit button
- The message shown after submitting the form
- Whether users need to be logged in to submit the form
Adding and viewing submissions
Submissions can be viewed in two ways:
- Via the form in the admin panel, under the Responses tab
- Via the Form Responses collection in the menu
Both routes also allow you to manually add a response, if necessary. For example, you can add a response that you received by phone and immediately link it to the correct user.
